Twig & Ember is a small, wood-fired sauna near Wānaka, with windows opening onto views of the mountains and slopes. You can alternate between heat and cold, with a cold-water plunge pool available for cooling off alongside your sauna session. For private bookings, the sauna accommodates groups of up to 15 people. A tea area before and after the sauna rounds out the relaxation. Twig & Ember is based on the traditional Finnish löyly (steam) experience, but adapted to the local environment and a rustic atmosphere – wood, fire, water, and natural materials are an essential part of it.
